Sorry to disappoint you folks, but Microsoft is just not going to come out with a Blu-ray player add-on for the Xbox 360 after an interview with Xbox product manager Aaron Greenberg who claims that “Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience.” I guess that pretty much sums it all, and if that is the case, you can probably forget about Metal Gear Solid 4 hitting this console.

I don’t know why, but when I stare at this clock I remember the best and the worst moments of my life. Bravo, Vvork! Who would imagine that a clock means more than a 24 hours endless cycle? Lifeclock’s mechanism is slowed down by 61.320 times compared to a normal wall clock. Of course, the numbers shown there represents years - not seconds, hours or days, not even months. The LifeClock is limited to 84 years, more than enough for these days… too much stress, work and love will kill you… sooner.

The lack of time is one of the most serious problems that we encounter everyday. To solve this problem people generally try to do two or even more actions simultaneously, yet it’s not an easy task. That’s why at present there is a great variety of multifunctional devices. However, given gadget despite the abundance of 2in1 concepts represents an absolutely innovational device. This novelty was designed by Jason Farsai and was called Yuno PC.
The Yuno PC is a new personal computer concept designed to help you use your time as efficient as possible without the necessity to bring your meal near your computer. Everyone has their own routine, what they read, watch, listen to, and of course drink. The Yuno PC mug incorporates all the important morning alerts such as weather, time, traffic, stocks, and etc. on its touchscreen display. Moreover there is a possibility to choose your own images to be displayed as a screensaver. In other words it lets you enjoy the morning the way you deserve, stress free and highly efficient. In addition this gadget has quite an attractive design and is big enough to ensure clear and comfortable usage of its touch-sensitive display.
Thus this device seems to be very useful. Nevertheless I think that it will probably be a bit strange, at least in the beginning, to use this portable PC that has a cylindrical display because you will always need to rotate it. Yet its compactness and functionality can be considered as significant advantages in comparison with other devices of this kind.

Odds are, if you’re committing a series of robberies while wearing an ankle bracelet put on you by the law, you might not be the brightest bulb in the bunch. That’s exactly what one Ohio resident got up to recently, though unfortunately for him, he was located by the GPS chip embedded in the aforementioned bracelet. Apparently, after six or so burglaries in his neighborhood, police got wise to the situation and pinpointed James Wombles using signals from his fashionable accessory, finding him innocently relaxing in a vehicle filled up with stolen items. The man had no comment, though we imagine upon capture he might have said something like, “Durrr.” Once again GPS technology proves it’s not just for getting cars stuck in cherry trees.

Don’t you just love spring, when everything and everyone just looks so fresh after a cold, dreary winter? The folks at LG certainly think so, reflecting their mood by releasing the LG Viewty in a new pink color, keeping both black and silver colors company. Other than the color change, everything inside remains the same. Folks living in Europe can look forward to the pink Viewty in a few weeks’ time.

We post a lot of concept designs here at the Lab. Most will never make production, but that doesn’t stop us from hoping. In the case of Cannondale’s ON concept, overwhelming popular demand means the bike company will actually be putting the folder into production.
Previously named the "Jacknife," the innovative bike has grown up into a rather hot looking beast. The current photos show that it still uses single arms instead of forks (the rear one is a pivot to fold the bike), and it now has a much cooler-looking matte-black paint job.
Full details are still not available, but Cannondale’s Torgny Fjeldskaar says "Stay tuned." We will.
He also says "Urban transport as we know it is about to change forever." Last time we heard that, it was in reference to the Segway.

Now that’s a whole lot of acronyms up there in the title, but for good reason. InnoDisk has just introduced its first 2.5″ SATA solid state drive (SSD) that comes with a whopping 128GB of storage space, laying claim to being the highest capacity SLC NAND flash drive in the market at the moment. Features include a durable outer metal case, self-proclaimed low power consumption, emitting virtually no noise while being more than capable of surviving knocks and drops thanks to its anti-shock features. Sampling will begin this month, with volume shipping to follow in Q2 2008.

The guys at Gizmodo have got their hands on the hacked 2.0 firmware for the iPhone and have posted a video of it in action, actually running on the iphone itself.
This hack is the one we detailed earlier today, and in theory is not breakable by Apple. Just to rub salt into the wounds, Giz have the iPhone running on the T-Mobile network. Nice work, guys.

High-tech lock maker Kwikset has announced the SmartKey. Its banner feature is anti-bumping technology, which supposedly makes the lock un-pickable (bumping is about the quickest and easiest way to break a lock, involving a hammer, a dummy key and, well, that’s it).
But we don’t care for the security so much as the convenience. The SmartKey lock can be re-keyed by the owner. You put in your old key, hit a “learning” button inside the lock and then swap in any key. That key is now paired with the lock. Very neat, and very easy, allowing a single key to be used in a multitude of locks. The downside? Let’s just say you might want to keep a spare.

Now we know that we’ve posted movie trailers on Gadget Lab before. Why would we do that? They’re geeky, awesome, have tons of tech, and usually they’re ten times better than the actual films themselves. Our latest obsession? The full trailer for Speed Racer.
Yes, the seizure inducing visuals and dialog that sounds like it was written by a brain damaged Chim Chim are the watermarks of a Watchowski brothers film. But hey, will that stop us from shelling out $10 for admission? No Speed Racer, no.
But what do you think, dear readers? Will you be gunning to theaters to check this one out in May? Or will you just wait and download the torrent file? Hit those comments and let us know!
